The Quiet One

Another year is -

Another year is paid for this blog. My credit card bill came today with a $89.50 charge from Six Apart. Money well spent since I do enjoy blogging.

The artwork above is something I create on the Gateway computer last night using Photoshop Elements. I was just in the mood to have a little fun. Actually it came out pretty good. I'll transfers it over to Mac for a few more tweaks.

Back on the Gateway computer

Well, it wasn't my Gateway's fault that it couldn"t handle the internet. It was Verizon DSL up here that was having a problem. It's clearly fix now, hopefully it stays that way. There's a small part of me who doesn't want to go to the cable internet route just now. So tonight typing on the Gateway to do this post. Do I miss the iMac, Oh yes! However, this computer needs some attention too.  I think the reason why I was doing so good on the iMac with the slowdown, was I was running both the ethernet and wireless coonecton at the same time.  So why everybody was complaining about the slowness, I was watching youtube.

Yes I didn't score any brownie points with a few more coworker who use the same Dsl.

Another wondeful warm day, which brought out the wretched mayflies too. Still no hummingbirds either. Another week or two I have think about moving the desk away from the window. Just get too many bugs by the windows and they always manage to find their way back in too!

Now there's a chill in the air right now, think I have shut the fan off now. Later I'll type up some poems.

Hopefully it was temporary glitch that caused Marja-Leena not able to leave a comment. For some reason, instead getting the comment page. She was being sent to Globe of Blog page. Hmm? I check it out and took off the Globe of Blog link off. I have to redo that link section. I'm not happy with. Might move to a page of it's own.

Went to the dentist today. Next week I get the one tooth cap and after that. The top teeth start getting pull. It's kinda lousy timing right now with work. Summer reading programs are starting in two weeks for seven weeks. They will be done mid August, so I'm hoping, I can put it off till then.

The picture above is another layered art project. One that was sucessful! Not all my grand schemes works.  It printed out good with the glossy and matte paper. Wish I had some semi-gloss paper on hand. Think it might work better. The glossy was a tab too shiny Though it took awhile to print since it was 145mb in photoshop's layers. Lol! I flatten the layers and resave it as a .tiff file. Might take some marco shot with it tomorrow. I see a few area worth trying to shoot.

Hour ago, a Momma bear with two very large cubs, walk into the yard. She tried to take the shed doors off. Not a good idea since Dad has a gun. Don't worry he fired the shots up in the air adninto the woods. I wish the  Momma  bear  had behave, would love to get a shot of that. 

Mades changes

I've made a few changes to this site. I took off the old banner and got rid a few sidebar things. I'm trying to get this site to load faster. It's a pain when you have dial up and since I have dial up. I know first hand. I wish few other blogs writers would keep in mind that not everybody has a fast connection. There's few blogs I would love to add to my Bloglines account. But with all their huge photos, I can't. I might make a smaller banner for this site but then again, it will only slow down this site.

Such a cold day and there's tiny fawn sleeping in the yard. Wish the mother had pick different spot for it. Not really well hidden.

Easter Egg.

I just got the new Blogjet 2.0. Just making sure it work. Now it off to renew my domain for another two years.

GOOD NEWS!! The aliens have return Sharon to her webblog!!  Hopefully all now everything will stay good for her.

If all goes well next Wednesday, (weatherwise.) I'm buy my new carmera!! Looking forward to getting it. It's a little more advance, so don't expect great picture to be posted here just yet. Now hopefully the stores have it in stock too!
