The Quiet One

Sometimes -

 

You know, sometimes the perfectly exposure picture is boring!  Occasional it does paid to be on the darkside or on lightside. Took this picture last friday, sitting outside eating my lunch. Could have spent all afternoon outside.

However-

I wanted to learn more about Painter Essential and what I could create with it. Spent the afternoon figuring out what exactly I could do with the brushes. Drawing on a paper and drawing with a graphic tablet are two different things. At least I don't feel bad about wasting stuff. Somehow manage to come up with something interesting art work. Everything is abstract since I deal with real stuff in the photos and poems.

Yes there's in the abstract paintings or artworks but why does everything have to reveal ? Life should have a bit of mystery to it. Another thing I'm doing with the projects I do with Painter, is bring them into Photoshop. There I can adjust the color a bit or take one my abstract photos and layer it on the artwork. Gives the painting a wonderful dimension to it. It's an aspect I'm going explore this summer. Would love to tried create new texture using paper and other things.

I'll post one the artworks tomorrow.

Ah Spring gives me

Spring is giving me a few more thing to work on at Photoshop. However, tonight's T-storms is cutting this post short. They are marching closer to where I live and I have other things to do on the internet. Watch this turn into nothing but a rain event when it gets here.

A quiet weekend, sorta of

One those weekends where it was quiet. Did finish two poems and did that artwork too. It has been cold and windy too. Last Thursday's night I lost power for two hours. Was hoping for quiet Saturday at work, nope we were busy.

Still have to type up that Spring poem. I'll do it after I get off the internet and post it tomorrow. Can't type it up now, not sure where it is.

Oh I wish I could blog about something that's going on in my life for the past year. However this has to stay in a locked diary. It's nothing really bad just plain crazy at times.  Now something happen that will or won't make this coming week interesting. Ok I'll admit, I want fireworks!

Rainy day for Wednesday

It's one those rainy days, where one never feels quiet awake. Oh course, staying up until 12 am to work on a spring poem, doesn't help the either.

So it's rain for today and not snow. There's only two patches of snow left in the yard. The trees outside my windows, all getting bigger buds. In few weeks, leaves will altered the skyline once again.  The sound of the wind will also change, there are days where I feel a feel the energy of it and then wonder what it's trying to tell me. After some much white staring at me this past winter. I'm looking forward to green, knowing by August.

I'll be hating it.

So last night I work on a poem about Spring. Declaring that Spring should be a wild woman. It's funny, I wrote the first and last lines of it last. The middle part, will it never came intil this week. Quite please with it so far, just have to type it out after this. Also another have another poem that needs my attention and I wonder if I can read my handwriting too. Wrote just before going to bed on Monday.

The artwork above was originally a photo of another artwork. Then I took some oil pastel to it and took macro photos of it. I didn't really care for the pink part and tried to tone it down. But in the end, it did work out.

Snowflakes and tree buds

Ah! I notice today that trees buds are finally getting bigger, despite the snowflakes that fell today. Still looking for a robin. The bears might be starting to wake up too. Today the sun set at 7pm, if it wasn't such a cold windy day I would taken a walk.

Yes Spring almost here. Only eight days away.

Hopefully by then, the media will be another subject besides Spitzer. All I'm going say about that is, some guys clearly need to put on a male chastity belt before leaving for work. Yes they do exist! I did a little search before. Tempted to say more but certain things are best written to a locked diary.

pouring into this world.

the sun is tired of us.

There is a use of lying in a bed   
I’m counting the clouds, all rolling by as a sheet.
And somebody forgot to cut out the snowflakes.

Pity the afternoon clouds-
not enough colors to catch your face.
This mind’s photos is too perfect
and I all I want to do,

is recurve those sad eyes into a life.

Hmm I don't remember

Hmm I don't remember what photo or photos I used to make that. But I do enjoy making them and lately I've been working with type of artwork.

Thanks to all  who comments about the dentist problems. I'm hoping to get this resolve this month on what going be done. However, I think I'm going have to switch to another dentist. Ugh!

Now really going play with the iMac

Ah yes!!!! This is wonderful!!!!

My Mac Photoshop came today, along with the 4 gig of memory I needed.  So I'm looking forward to spending the afternoon tomorrow, installing all this stuff. Hopefully the basic function of Photoshop is the same as in Elements was. I have no book yet for Photoshop. That's going be Saturday's project and probably will be a Dummies's book. I know Scott Kebly has a good one but his use of humor is not the greatest.

But first I have to install the memory into the iMac and I never done that before! Yes before I start, I'll make sure my cup of tea is nearby. Tea is good at calming my nerves.  But I'll be glad when this all done. Tired of the Gateway and its noise! Tired of its 17 inch monitors when I do Photoshop on it. I only used it now for the internet.

However!!!

I have good news to report on that front! Finally, I can have DSL instead of dial-up. Verizon has finally did something that allows my area to have it! The only other choice I had was cable and I really didn't want that. Too much a hassle for it. It will cost $30 a month, so it looks like I'll be dropping Netflix soon or downgrade my account. I need the faster speed for the downloading of updates from Apple. I can't always use the library's internet for that. Plus there's blogs I want to read and can't because of all the photos that are on it. I miss doing Facebook and sometimes Neopets is too slow for doing the games.  It will be a couple weeks before I get hook up. I still have finish my dental work.

Beauty in a ice storm

Well for the trouble that ice storm cause me Sunday night. At least I found something wonderful out of it.

Once a just a boring shot of an ice covered beech branch that I knew had potential in it. A few tweaks in Photoshop. Oh I'm please what I got ! I printed out a 5x7 verison and WOW! After I'm done with the internet, I'll tried a 8x10 one.

With the ice storm knocking out my power Sunday night, I'm never got the chance to visit any the T.O.P's members blogs. My plans to do it on Fri didn't work out because  a nasty headache. As for this Friday, it depends how tired I am that night. I have a bare Christmas tree sitting in my room. Friday is the day I'm decorating it.

Still no word from Apple about shipping my iMac. I'll admit I'm nervous about it. I just hope they used UPS and not Fedex. All I have to due is clear off a spot on the computer table for it adn I'm ready become a Machead!!!!
