New poems

Enjoy!

********

Why should I love you
as the day seeps more into Spring?

I don’t know.

Rather have the imperfect love,
cracked and slipping from the house
and won’t be cried over-
                            with one word misspoken.

But the always “However”
Comes with your arms, embracing and holding me.
Like a lost child who’s been found.
Even though -

she ran to the dark of the  moon
and hid.

****

Naturally, the rain brings color to the driveway
And the heart wants to call it a map instead.

It’s autumn, so the colors are bittersweet
Though they don’t know the taste of the feel of it.
Even all the blues around me are turning more
into a their darker selves as the sun turns inward for winter.
There will be one shade of blue, turing into night
with the whites stars waiting for me to lead them.

A flurry of red leaves speckled the driveway now.
How easy is it to kill and not to kill.

With my eyes  counting each of the red leaves in a circle
The clock strikes against the number three for the day.
What could have I done, watching the noon news.
Knowing all I could do was really shut it off and hope

Finally!!!! A certain somebody is here !

Imhere_2

Well look who finally show up in the yard today.Hmm, I think you took your sweet time to get here. Well hopefully the poor thing doesn't freeze tonight, it's suppose to go below freezing tonight. There might be areas of frost tonight too. Don't need that right now.

Rainy day and new leaves

It always amazes me, how fast the leaves all suddenly fill in the empty spaces. I woke up this morning and wow! The trees have colors again which was more dramatic with grey sky and falling rain.Yes, I should have taken a picture but it was one those morning where I could slept for another hour. At these the new leaves will have some much needed rain to help them fill in some more. Might be a rainy week and I'm in the  mood for that.

Still waiting for the hummingbird to show up, last year they came today. Not this year. There has been a report from one the library's patrons of a fawn already. Poor thing, it must cold today with the chilly day. I'm hoping for this one doe to leave her fawn in the side yard. Got some cute pictures and yes, when the mother is gone. I do keep an eye on the fawn for her.

Ah Spring gives me

Awe2292r

Spring is giving me a few more thing to work on at Photoshop. However, tonight's T-storms is cutting this post short. They are marching closer to where I live and I have other things to do on the internet. Watch this turn into nothing but a rain event when it gets here.

New leaves

Newleaves08

Oh course the new leaves have to be near the top of the tree. So got very lucky with the photo, there was a bit of wind too! Another week, there will plenty of leaves to take pictures of.  All we need up here, is a good dose of rain. A tab too dry right now. Rainy days are good too, curl with book and a cup of tea if you are home.

Another sign of spring, is a move the desk away from the window. Wish I didn't have to but too many little annoying insects seem to find their way. Then they like to hang around by the desk lamp.

So here I sit at the computer, with windows open. Stereo is playing Gary Wright's "Love is Alive" I should add that to my iTunes list. I'm debating if I should type a batch of poems or revises a few more. I'll decide later.

Back on the Gateway computer

Well, it wasn't my Gateway's fault that it couldn"t handle the internet. It was Verizon DSL up here that was having a problem. It's clearly fix now, hopefully it stays that way. There's a small part of me who doesn't want to go to the cable internet route just now. So tonight typing on the Gateway to do this post. Do I miss the iMac, Oh yes! However, this computer needs some attention too.  I think the reason why I was doing so good on the iMac with the slowdown, was I was running both the ethernet and wireless coonecton at the same time.  So why everybody was complaining about the slowness, I was watching youtube.

Yes I didn't score any brownie points with a few more coworker who use the same Dsl.

Another wondeful warm day, which brought out the wretched mayflies too. Still no hummingbirds either. Another week or two I have think about moving the desk away from the window. Just get too many bugs by the windows and they always manage to find their way back in too!

Now there's a chill in the air right now, think I have shut the fan off now. Later I'll type up some poems.

Whoa! it hit 80s here!

Redbuds210

Ah it wonderful to in the 80s. Since I won't complain about it this time and yes I did clean off the dust  of the ceiling fan.

There is a nice shade of red appearing on some the trees. Some reason it reminds me of fall. Still missing the hummingbirds, they around according to this map Just haven't gotten up to my area. Maybe tomorrow they'll show up.

Thank you all!!!! - Reader Appreciation Day

To all my readers-

A big
Thank You for reading this blog,

For putting up with my many moods  (the good, the bad and the ugly ones).

For reading my poems despite the grammar errors in them.

Finally for just able to have your friendships that run across the internet.

Again

I Thank You

This wonderful idea for having a Reader Appreciation Day was dream up by Robin at The Other blog. I hope will become an annual event now.

Is it Wednesday yet?

Is it Wednesday it? The temperatures are suppose be in the 70 that day. Oh yea!! that rocks, just don't get too warm. Still have to clean off the ceiling fan, yea dust city up there.

However I did have a good weekend. Only glitch was on Saturday at work, computers problems. For all the rain they talk about, it really didn't happened, so a few walks were taken. Work on a few poems and wrote a good one for Sharon's prompts. Any photos that were taken are still on the camera. Did a great artwork on Friday, post it tomorrow.

My DSL decided it doesn't like my Gateway computer anymore. My speed on it is down to dial-up mode or worse. Run on the iMac using the wireless connection, it's back to it's normal self. It does go slower if I use the ethernet cable to run it. My co worker is having the same problem with her Gateway and it''s about the same age too. She has already talk to Verizon and got no where with them. Was planning to give the tech people a call on Wed but it's running great on the iMac. So instead, I'm planning to switch the computer around on the computer table.  Might get the Apple wireless keyboard and mouse. Depends how the cords go.

I'm still trying to figure out why this construction worker thought by burying a Red Sox jersey in the new Yankee stadium, under two feet of concrete. Would jinks it the team. Well they got out the jackhammer, after a couple hours, they dig the shirt out. LOL!! It will be put to good use, they are going to clean up and give to a charity to auction off.

Finally! a green leaf appears

Greenleaf

Ok, I got handy with the Photoshop. But you can see how tired I'm of the bare branches.

However, the weather has been good for the past couple days with warmer temperatures and sunny days, except today was cloudy. The forecast is for rain for this weekend, which I have no problem since it's not snow.

Besides I'm spending the weekend cheering my Yankees on. They are playing the Boston Red Sox for three games. Right now,it's the bottom of the 7th inning, Yankees are leading 3-1. Also so far, there hasn't been any fights between the players.
