The Quiet One

One hurdle past -

Ah one hurdle was past today. Had an appointment with the oral surgeon and I happy to report it went well. What I thought would be the major problem, turn into a minor thing. However, next Friday he's taking out the bottom wisdom teeth,plus two other. After that gets done and heal, I'm hoping that next dentist appointment well begin the process of getting the top plate made. It's getting close to year since I started this crazy teeth journey, would like to wrap it up.

Last night right in the middle of going through my bloglines, my DSL connection went south. Lucky for me I still have my dial-up connection. So used it to feed the pets at Neopets. (yes you can laugh) So got behind in the blog reading.

Tomorrow they are forecasting, snow, ice and rain . Not too much but enough to make the day lousy. Please who's ever up there, no headaches with this storm. Would like to work on some poems tomorrow. The muse is here with his sly grin on his face. Oh yes!

Was hoping to have

To have some new poems posted or new artwork. Well You 'll have to wait until the weekend. I've been busy backing up stuff and transfering poetry files off this Gateway onto the iMac. So now this poor old Gateway is only an internet computer. I used the iMac once and awhile for the internet, especailly for iTunes buying.

Ah, it's wonderful to buy old songs and not have to buy the rest of the cd. It was wonderful to here Meco's Star War song again, along with Chris de Burgh Don't Pay the Ferryman. One these's days I'll go over to VH1 and get their list of One Hit Wonders. The one thing I want to buy, is video by Journey call Chain Reaction. For some stupid reason, They left it the Dvd and that was my favorite video!!!! Probably the band didn't like it.

I do have new poems to type up. Finished the rough draft of two today. I'll work on them tomorrow while download a few more iTunes songs.  As for photos, well it's been quiet on that front. The photo above is from last year. Right now, nothing is interesting me. Tried to art project and it sorta fail. I think the words are rejoycing in that. Well I do believe the Muse is back looking for some attention.

It might be a good weekend . Especially if the Patriots win the Superbowl!!!!

For the new year

Blame the car’s tires not the new year
as lines scattered into the evergreens.
All night the melting snow rain off the roof
with no moon to create a rainbow to love.
There’s goodness that dreams don’t chase me
while clock’s hand should close these eyes.

Again- what is the use of these item in this life.

When lines scatter into the evergreens,
leaving me to wonder if this not just a black omen
Who’s snuggling closer to this old throat.
Then again, are lines really seeking warmth
as I become older and colder for this year’s dance.

Chilly day and chilly night.

Winter has come back with a blast of artic air. Right now this room has a chill to it. Yes I can turn up the heat, it's only on 64. But other people  can't, so why should I ?

Well, I did manage to type up a few poems yesterday on the Mac using iWork's Pages. It's pretty good program. I set up a templete for doing poem. And yes, I still want a Wordperfect for a Mac. Was hoping to do more but landed up not feeling for most the day. I'll post one the new ones tomorrow. Still questioning a few lines.

Also finally got around using my camera a video camera. I could never do it because Quicktime does not like my Gateway. Almost crash it twice. So today I pulled out my direction book and figured out how to do it. Videos came out good, work (of course) great on the Mac. So I'll tried again with shooting some video this weekend. As posting it on the blog.

No because I don't know how to do it. lol!

Well there's is Youtube to host it. Which by the way is a great way to find old musical videos I haven't seen in a very long time. Another thing I want to tried is iTunes. There's a few songs I would like to have for my music collection. All I need to do is find my Apple password and I'm going on a buying spee!

Hmm I don't remember what photo or photos I used to make that. But I do enjoy making them and lately I've been working with type of artwork.

Thanks to all  who comments about the dentist problems. I'm hoping to get this resolve this month on what going be done. However, I think I'm going have to switch to another dentist. Ugh!

First post on the iMac

I realize something tonight, i never set up my bookmarks on the iMac via Foxfire. I don't think i can import them from the windows verison. Then again, those bookmarks on the Gateway need to be clean up. So I typing up this post and so far everything going well. Does make it easier when I have post pictures here.

The picture above was snap last night. It's not a black and white picture, just turn out that way. I used flash, so I think that gave it's unworldly looks  Was hoping for a little more snow but happy what I got. Wish I brought the camera to work. It was beautiful out with the snow attached to everything.

Yet I was restless today, one thing I was hoping for didn't turn out as well as I hope.I want closure to this crazy business with my teeth.Nope another roadblock has been thrown up. Just tired of the whole thing.  Oh well that's my life

Had a nice visitor in the yard, actually there was three in the yard. Which is very unusual since I'm lucky if I get one in the yard. The only bad part, they didn't stay still. So lots of pic of blurred head and bodies too.

Ok like I said before, the DSL is backing working properly! Yes I’m enjoying the faster speed. I actually tonight went through my Bloglines and was able to read everything for a change.If I wasn’t tired tonight, would done more commenting too  Lately I’ve been skipping blogs because it just took too long to download read them, even in bloglines  

I’ll be adding more to my collection of blogs to read. There was one I always enjoy reading but drop because it just took long get her site. However I don’t really remember the title of the blog. It was something call Third House?. I bet a certain Sharon might have it listed in her links page or it was another blog. I will be raiding Marja list of blogs for a few artist blogs to add. Few of Sherry’s friends I would like to visit with too.

Tomorrow is back to the dentist. I’m hoping now we can just finish up fixing this mouth of mine.

 

Oh yes! I'm flying again.

Yes, the problem was solved with the DSL! Turns out there was major outage yesterday and I was affected. But since this new account, thought maybe something happen to it.  Glad that's over. Hoping that there's no more problems with DSL.  I really don't want a tech guy to come here. I don't really keep this room too clean.

Dsl went bust and back to dialup :(

Well that didn't last , my DSL connection went AWOL this afternoon. I was watching some video at VH1 Classic, decide to return to Yahoo and that's were I lost the internet connection. Instead of getting a flashing green light on the modem for the internet, was getting the solid red. Tried everything to get back, nothing.

So tonight called tech support, did everything they told me to do. Still no internet. Now it looks like a service person is going to have to come to house. Ugh! This could be a problem if I have to take off from work. I have a funny feeling in the end, I'll be ditching the DSL. Not sure if I'll go to cable then. See I live with parents and the internet would have to go on thier bill. Yikes! Plus they only will hook up to one computer, so it would be the iMac instead of the Gateway.

See what Verizon says when they call either tomorrow whenever.
