Feeling better to a point.

Leavesfall0711

Ah feeling somewhat better. Face is swollen a bit, the right side is the worse and now getting  a little black and blue .Plus I have sitches gloria. Now I have to call my dentist back on Mon to see him about getting a impresson made for the plate. Oh such fun!

It's a beautiful day. I would like to take a walk around the block but still tired. So just walk around the yard with the camera. Did pretty good with the pictures taking, hmm shot about 202 pictures. Half the pictures were just me fooling around with settings. Another card waiting to be download. Somethose shots are infrared shots. Now feeling tired, so I'll stop here.

Will be off for a few days

Tomorrow is the day I have all these teeth out. I'm not going tried to get internet untill I feel better and up too it.. So sad to report this blog will be quiet untill then. Also won't be visiting your blogs either. :-(

What to name this post?

Ok I’m stuck for a title. So I’ll leave it like that.

So fall has enter in the picture now and the air tonight has a summer feel to.  Have AC/DC blasting out the stereo, maybe Hell’s Bells can send summer out of here. I did manage to sneak in a walk after supper. There’s something about the dusk light I love. Yes it does make the photography part a bit tricky but sometimes I just feel the world shifting it’s thought for the day. And after today, you wonder if the world shifted a little more today.

I don’t what to make of the Iranian president. A sad fool or the mad man everybody’s knows but you don’t know when he’s going go off. I honestly I don’t like the talk of war with Iran, it would be WWIII. However, it’s really out of our hands. Yes the hands voted him in but those hands aren’t leading across the the busy street when he’s eying the the blue sky. Yea weird metaphor but it seems right for the moment. Oh course Bushie is not helping either. Yes you might be eying the history’s book pages too. Just remember, history can be a bitch sometimes. Well ever comes, will come. I’ll just just keep writing my and taking my photos.

Hmm I really didn’t want to write that can of post but I won’t deleted the top part.

New Fall poem

Yellowleafpoem

I walk not -

With the clouds or in the beauty of you.
But with these simple fall colors.

Yes, they are the same as always.
and wildly in tune with life.

But who would not for one moment,
want to lose oneself

in a falling yellow leaf.

Next Thursday-

Well week from today is when the first session with the oral surgeon. Having ten teeth taken out and the rest will come out couple weeks later. Not really looking forward to this part. Wishes this was all done already, well part of it was my fault. Should made the first appointment in Aug. The way I figure it, I should have the plate in by Thanksgiving. Now if I’ll be able to eat the Thanks’ dinner is another story. But at least I'll have a nice smile now.

Fall has wonderfully enter the picture now. The Canon is perfect for leaves pictures. Really got some good shot. Yesterday, I took over 200 pictures, most were toss because they were no good or just repeats. My poor Flickr is in badly need of new photos. I’ll do that tomorrow. Have a few that need to get out the computer. I love just taking just shots of a single leaf with contrasting background or a simple one. Or sometimes, I look how the sunlight is playing with the leaves too.

Sunday with poetry all afternoon is sorta a mixed thing. Last week I got stuck dealing with a cold and the blasted period. So I didn’t sleep too well and when Sun came. I didn’t get up until 10:45am! Yea that threw my day off. Did start going some the finals to print out. Type up a few new ones. Hopefully I’ll get up a tab earlier.

Robin Gibb doing a little disco dancing

You have to click on the image to get
the popup window and enjoy the dance

This got deleted from the Robin's Gibb Forum I belong too not the one I run. Honestly I said it was a joke that I put together to cheer up a board member. She is going through a tragic event in her life and knew this would bring a smile to her face. So I had no real plans to post here but this is about the 4th thread that got deleted because of me. No I'm not really a troublemaker just s bit of a hellraiser now and then. They allow us to have signature on the board. Guess who going put this link to this post there. Should left my thread alone, I told you it was a joke.

A tab crazy for doing this

Gh5315copy

Yes, last Fri I completely lost my mind and yes!! I’m glad I did it!

Last week I found out I could finally get hold the 1st edition, hardcover :-) The completer Poem of Anna Akhmatova. So what if the two volumes were $150. Those were the books I fell in love with Anna’s poems. I did make numerous attempts to get hold those book. Even the paperback version I had trouble with.  In the meantime, I would read the poems that I had copy by hand.

Then just before I move to Pa. Went to a Barnes & Nobles and there sat the wonderful paperback. Needless to say I was very happy. I always baby the paperback, fearing of never getting another copy. Well, it turns that Zephyr Press is doing a better job of getting it in print. According to the email, the book was ship already, so maybe by tomorrow or Wednesday I’ll have my books. They sit on my desk and the paperback will to the closet shelf for safe keeping.

The Flag bearer of Autumn.

Carolcolor

September 1st 2007

5029

Ah it was perfect start for September!

The sky was this wonderful blue with the right amount of white puffy clouds. The temps were on the cool side. The wind was total into autumn mood. When I ate my lunch outside, landed up getting a pair sock to wear. Also had a kill a yellow jacket, who didn't get my messages to go somewhere else. As for the tress, clearly now they are in turning mode.

I took a walk after lunch. I did bring the camera but didn't really take any pictures. Just walk and enjoy the afternoon sun. The photo above was taken yesterday, which was a cloudy and dampish day. I was walking in woody area down the street from me. Managed to snagged a a few good photos. Mainly photos of leaves and mushrooms.

But the good thing of this weekend, my last Sunday to work to tomorrow!!!! I'm so sick of working Sundays!!! I really don't mind working Saturdays, it's from 12-4 and who really going come out on Sat when you could spend the afternoon shopping. Well that's what I'm hoping the patrons will do for couple weeks. I need to shelf read the kid's room.
