it was wonderful -

Didntdoit

I had a wonderful weekend, sunny and I was lazy too. It was wonderful to have a three day weekend. Oh course the best part, it didn't rain for the last two.

I was planning to write this big post tonight but since I was pretty much lazy all weekend. There's not much to write about.

However, that picture above. notice that tall plant on the right. Well its a sunflower and my Mom is still now and then accusing me of planting a sunflower seed in her pot of geraniums.

I swear I didn't do it!!!!!!!

Besides, it would been more funny if I had planted corn seeds

For July 1st

For July 1st- I like that be the start of more sunny weather.

Between May and June, I had enough of the rain and clouds. However I know we still need to rain to fall now and then, just the usually amounts please. Now if I was living England, I wouldn't mind it. Just give me another cup of tea.

It would be nice to able to sleep with the windows open. I miss hearing the wind rustling the leaves and the crickets counting down the summer days. If did hear a noise, i hope it was a bear moving through the yard. But one can't do that if the windows are close due to rain and dampish air.

Yes, there was a little mushroom growing  along with my African Violet. The spore must come through the window screen. If I get anymore, I'll change the soil.

By the way, tomorrows forecast- showers and a chance of a thunderstorm.

Hail time

Hail1

Things got a little wild this afternoon, around 4:30ish One nasty looking line of T-storm was marching across the radar. Just as it got here, the clouds were this dark gray color that I knew it was going be "Yikes!" Well the wind picked and the rain came down as one sold mass at times. Then next i know, Mom yelling at me "it's hailing"

Well, it came down in good size pieces. Tried to snap some good shot but it was so dark out. Plus the screen was shut on the sliders, it goof up a few shots.  The power was going on and off too. At one point, I was wondering if there was any rotation in the clouds.

Hail2

It didn't really stop thundering until around 6. Now there's this wonderful cool breeze coming through the window.

Cloudy weather -Go away!!

Oh I need a week worth of just plain sun, temps in the low 80. I do hope this weather pattern is breaking. I'm missing my walks and eating my lunches outside with a good book. Ok lately, the books have been the Twilight series. Finished New Moon, reading Eclipse. They are not really that bad. My favorite character is Alice. I do see Stephenie Meyers returning to series.

I'm still blaming the cloudy and rainy weather on getting the Painter 11 program. Yes, I brought it. Don't ask how much it cost. I am finding it better than Painter Essential 4. Right now I'm just playing with it. Seeing how things works and reacted with each other. I just love having the freedom of not having to worry about wasting stuff.

Too early for this!!

Well after a week of pretty much rain and clouds, finally a bit of sun late in the day. So took a much needed walk after supper.  What do I find, a branch of fall colors. Hmm, technically still in Spring. Summer starts this Sunday by the way.

Probably all the rain and clouds this area has been dealing with, cause them to stress out. I'm hoping for a week of sun for next week. After all, one does get tired of pretending of living on another planet.

I'm blaming the cloudy afternoon for causing me to download the trial version of  Painter 11. Still up in the air if I'll buy it. However, so far I'm impress how well it runs.
