Is it August yet ?

We3511a
All week I've been coming home tired and no mood to post anything. The summer reading programs have started at the library I work at. Plus all the summer people are showing up too! The worst part about the summer people, the one I was hoping would stay away, returned. Ugh!

So it's 4th of July weekend. I'm not sure who's going have the biggest firework. Macy's or it will be at the Yankees and Red Sox game. Red Soxs already had a bench clearing brawl couple weeks ago. So why not have one this weekend?

A thunderstorm is coming, so I have to make this short for tonight.

Another year is -

Another year is paid for this blog. My credit card bill came today with a $89.50 charge from Six Apart. Money well spent since I do enjoy blogging.

The artwork above is something I create on the Gateway computer last night using Photoshop Elements. I was just in the mood to have a little fun. Actually it came out pretty good. I'll transfers it over to Mac for a few more tweaks.

3 am Thunderstorm does a good job -

Hitchhiker

3am T-storms does a wonderful job of screwing up my sleep.  The thunder wasn't too bad, just a few rumbles that shook the house a bit. However the lightening was bright and wild. Even with the blinds halfway down, it still light up the room too many times. So I’m typing up this post with a few good size yawns toss in.

The  picture above is a bug who decide it had enough flying for the day last Friday. So the bug did a a little hitchhiking before I realize it was there. Hey, at least I snap its oicture before booting it off.

An Artwork piece

Weret1a

Here's one the artworks I did over the weekend. I did the color part in Painter Essential, then brought it into Photoshop. Use the Liquify tools to reshape the painting a bit. Ok I really reshape it. It was interesting painting that just needed something. But when I got done with, it still needed something. So took a shot of piece of log that was falling apart and layer it over it. With that simple move gave it some much depth.

Not sure if it really shows up. I only did a 5x7 because I was more into learning what I could do with the brushes. I plan to spend more time with Painter tomorrow, there's a few more ideas I want to tried.
